Privacy — Amazon Marketplace Orders

This notice explains how Alfie's Treatos LLC handles the personal information we receive when you order from us on Amazon. It sits alongside our main privacy policy, which covers orders placed on this website.

We sell on Amazon marketplaces. When you place an order with us through Amazon, Amazon provides us with the information we need to fulfil that order. This section explains what we receive, what we do with it, and how long we keep it. It applies in addition to the rest of this policy.

What we receive. Through Amazon's Selling Partner API we receive your order details and, for orders we ship ourselves, your name, delivery address and an Amazon-generated anonymised contact address. We do not receive, ask for, or hold your payment card details at any point. Amazon processes your payment; we never see it.

What we use it for. We use this information for one purpose: to fulfil your order and to provide customer service connected to it. That means picking and packing your items, producing a shipping label, arranging carriage with a courier, and responding to you if there is a problem with the order.

What we do not do with it. We do not use Amazon order information for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list, use it for advertising or audience-building, sell it, rent it, or combine it with information collected through our own website for those purposes. We share it only with the carrier delivering your parcel, and only the details needed to deliver it.

How long we keep it. We delete your name and delivery address within 30 days of your order being delivered. After that we keep only the transaction record itself, which is the date, the items, the amount and the GST, because tax law requires us to keep records of our sales. That record does not identify you.

How we protect it. Information is encrypted in transit. It is held on a single dedicated server rather than shared hosting, and access is limited to the named individuals who fulfil orders, each authenticated individually and required to use multi-factor authentication. Access is logged. We do not store this information on personal devices or removable media. Our offsite backups are encrypted.

Your choices. The rights described in the "Your Rights" section of this policy apply to Amazon order information as well. Because Amazon is the seller of record for the marketplace transaction, some requests are best directed to Amazon; where a request concerns information we hold, contact us using the details in the "Contact" section below and we will action it.
